apparently the book doesn't take into account the feminist theorization on rationality and subjectivity. but it does give a fair account of the fan phenomenon in pop culture. some insights the author offers, for instance, the differentiation between fan subjectivity and academic subjectivity, are well grounded and illuminating.
好多看不懂……comm和culture study之间隔了一条河。
挺难读的,难度的点或许在于一开始的太理论化的想要打破所谓的good fan cultures versus bad fan cultures,以至于最后自己在表达自己的观点的时候,实际本质上也没有摆脱这样的二元立场。有些观点放到现在也确实还是很有见地,当然,总的来说也不失为90年代fan cultures studies的一本索引了。
DT就靠它了。
真是把jenkins批惨了哈哈哈。术语很多,没有一定背景知识的话读起来会很费劲,很多页连hills在批判些什么都搞不懂。autoethno那篇非常有启发,一直疑惑researcher难道不能把自己当作研究对象吗,事实证明是可以的,但确实容易陷入self justify的坑里。
