4.5星。非常棒的coming of age novel + murder mystery。murder mystery的部分其实并不是主线，但是丝毫不影响本书的好看程度，跟很多同类作品一样，本书表现的成长就是经历disenchantment，看到阳光下的阴影、看到伤痛，了解到人生的无奈，知道人生中最重要的一课之一就是在失去的时候懂得放手。但同时，跟很多coming of age的作品不同的是，这本书到最后主人公在经历一切之后还是保持了初心，相信magic和nobody is beyond saving。另外，murder的部分也写得非常好，伏笔都很有意思，虽然是奇幻，但是并没有（怎么）用超自然破案，主要还是依靠推理。最后，作者的文笔很好，用语简单，但是非常有美感。另，本书泪点很多。
成长小说里的绝对精品，自由和随意，看到时候就像插上了翅膀，和书中的人物一起飞翔，没看过绝对是爱书者一生的遗憾。

可能是我期望值太高了吧，读完略有失望。似乎很多很有意义的地方本书都有所涉及，但全浅尝辄止，有点“缺口气”的感觉，比如贯串全书的杀人事件、孩童眼中的成人世界、少男少女的情窦初开，都挖掘得不够“尽兴”。尤其令人失望的是书中的奇幻部分，和《善恶园中的午夜》相比真是差得太远，“幻”得太过，就不显“奇”，只觉“假”了。不过也有很出色的地方：对孩子默默承受的压力描摹得非常逼真，孩子们斗恶少的部分相当酣畅淋漓，狗狗之死感人至深，还有凶手最后的良知令人唏嘘。三星半吧。

So touching…especially the last chapter. Time passes like arrow. We’re the arrowhead, pass with the wind. We all want a good ending, but life’s unexpected. We just live in it and hope we can veer it towards a better destination. Girls, do not let the flowers in your heart wither.
4.5。颓丧的时候就会翻出这本书的序言来读，从老师那里取点暖和光，浓黑中照亮面前的五米。
篇幅有点长，一开始以为就是普通的成长故事结果还带着魔法。中间的情节无聊到差点看不下去，好在后面有反转（不要弃书不要弃书）。最喜欢反殴Bullying那一段吧，果然还是看爽文比较舒心。
